How Bout Them Steelers

Hello Fanatics,

The Pittsburgh Steelers have gone 2 straight wins after a hideous 4 game losing streak to start the season. After the win this past weekend against their division rival Baltimore Ravens, I have gained a new sense of belief that this season will not be a complete disappointment. The past 2 wins have been legitimate wins that has made us look stronger than most thought after starting 0-4. The New York Jets beat the Pats this weekend which makes us look slightly dominant seeing the patriots record, and for us beating the Jets the previous weekend. Only time will tell what happens the rest of the season. If i had to guess I feel the Steelers will go .500 and just miss the playoffs. We will come in second in the division behind the Cincinnati Bengals who I feel have a great shot at representing the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Post-Season Hangover

Hello Fanatics,

I come reporting to you today in a very somber and sad mood. My Pittsburgh Pirates lost in game 5 to the St. Louis Cardinals ending the Pirates' Cinderella season. All I wanted before this season was a winning season, something I have never seen, but what do I get? A winning season and 6 exciting playoff games. I know there is no reason for the Pirates or anyone who caught "Bucco Fever" to hang there heads, because in retrospect who on gods green earth would have had the Pirates going to the NLDS? NO ONE! I can't believe how excited I am for next season with this time hopes of a World Series.

Buctober Continues

Hello Fanatics,

It was one interesting night at PNC Park on Tuesday evening as the Bucco's played their one game wild card against the Cincinnati Reds. Being a Pittsburgh sports fan my entire life, I can honestly say no other Pittsburgh sporting event atmosphere even came close to the one on Tuesday. I guess after a 21 year drought from a playoff appearance, the fans finally got to open its bottle of october baseball anticipation. During the game, the fan base stole a hockey move and chanted the pitcher (John Cueto) last name which eventually led to him dropping the ball and then letting up a one run home run the next pitch. Even though I was not in attendance at the park, it was so loud I felt as if I were there from watching it on my TV. It is a weird feeling watching the Pirates play competitive baseball in October and taking the drivers seat away from the Steelers who are 0-4.
Tonight the Pirates start their series with the St. Louis Cardinals. In my opinion, I feel that if we take one from the Cards in St. Louis that we have an excellent chance of winning this series. We are a team that plays their best baseball in their hometown with 39,000 fanatics rooting and standing right behind them. I hope to continue talking Pirate baseball and see them go all the way, but we shell see.
